Bill Eveleth - Piano

Bill studied jazz piano with Tommy Gallant, namesake of New England's Tommy Gallant Jazz Festival. As a student at Phillips Exeter he played for musicals and formed his first rock band with Michael Cerveris (2004 Tony Award winner, singer, and guitarist). Classically trained, Bill studied with Garin Bader (winner of the International Chopin Competition), recording artist Seth Carlin, and Paul Peeters in Brussels, Belgium. In addition to dates with eveleth jazz, he makes frequent solo appearances in North Jersey. Bill graduated from Cornell and is the author of Blues, Jazz, and Rock Riffs for Keyboards (Hal Leonard).

Dave Arndt
Dave Arndt - Trumpet, Flugel, Vocals

Born in New Jersey, Dave cut his "musical molars" in Philadelphia where he attended the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts. He has worked with performers such as Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, Steve Lawrence, Edi Gourmet, Michelle Legrand, Nancy Wilson, Lena Horne, Sammy Davis, Shirley Bassie, The Spinners, The Temptations, Gladys Knight, Diana Ross, and others. Trained classically, Dave worked with Leonard Bernstein on the broadway show "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue", and many 'legit' venues, including the Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Orchestra Brass Quintet...

Bob Whitely
Bob Whiteley - Bass

Bob’s home town is Montclair, NJ, where he is active in the local arts scene. He has also performed with Jazzmin, Rondezvous, "The Foggy Minded Boys" and other groups throughout the NY/NJ metropolitan area. In addition to jazz and rock, Bob plays classical music, broadway shows and has performed in numerous venues, including Carnegie Hall. While attending college, Bob taught bass and toured internationally with the Lafayette College Jazz ensemble. Some of his show credits include Guys and Dolls, The Spirit of 76, Working, Narnia and A Grand Night for Singing.

Mike Hanly
Dave Bendena - Drums

David comes from a long line of drummers who saw to his musical education from an early age. Spending his formative years studying and playing jazz, big band, classical and rock music, he eventually set the sticks aside to study theatre. Fresh from Chicago where he spent some years weaving in and out of plays, independent films and the odd rock band, he is happy to be back to throwing some sticks and brushes around for Eveleth Jazz.

Matt 'Shooby' Schoenenbaum
Matt 'Shooby' Schoenenbaum - Tenor Sax

Shooby is a native of Verona, NJ, where he formed many musical collaborations in his early career in High School, and while attending Rutgers University for music. He has worked with a number of popular rock & jazz groups in the New Jersey/New York area, including Robbie LaFalce's early group "The Miasmics", Stephanie White and "The New Jersey Philtharmonic" and currently graces the horn section of 3rdValve Rock. We are happy to have Shooby in the our lineup, where he adds his great solos and his sweet Tenor sound to the group.
